SHINOBININJA!!!

Ok..sooo the music group Shinobininja was NICE enough to respond to some questions I had for them.. It has taken me FOREVER for me to put it up, because I've been super busy, and TWO because I wanted to edit it first! BUT..I don't howw!! Well at least not to my liking! SO..Babygirl just told me to put it up..as is! HERE IT IS! Enjoy! Wait..first some background info for yall!! I first ran into this AH-MAZE-iiiing group when I got a twitter page! 'SHINOBININJA' was one of my first followers and I noticed they had like 16,000 PLUS followers. So I'm like hmmmm... THATS PRETTY TIGHT! They're obviously a hot commodity in the NY where they reside; Brooklyn to be exact. Anway.. I loved Babygirl's stupid-fruity swag & listened to her & her group's music..AND LOVED THAT TOO! Ok..sooo for the LONGEST I haven't liked Angelina Jolie, strictly because I LOOVE Jennifer Aniston.. that is MY GIRL! (smile) Brad was tripping!!! BUUUTTTT... My feelings have since changed since this weekend, I watched "The Changling" with Angelina Jolie as the lead actress and it was a powerful movie ( YALL NEED TO GO SEE IT!!) ANYWAY...I am back to liking her now..
And I'm kinda tired of people and the media bashing her and Brad about how many kids she has adopted..SO WHAT!!!! I'm from an adoptive family and if it weren't for my parents I do not know where I would be. Its humorous, people complain that celebrities aren't doing anything "good" with their fame, but when someone FINALLY does..they mock them. I don't get that. They are giving helpless children a home..a comfortable home at that! I have love and respect for them both!

Sooo.. I had not went out to see a movie in a long time!! BUT, I decided to get out and go see one with my girls. I went to go see "This Is It"..the Michael Jackson movie! It wasn't what I expected, I thought it was going to be an overview of his life up until he died..instead it was a lot of the footage of him preparing for his upcoming tour. I was disappointed at first, then I got over it, and really enjoyed the movie!! Him singing, dancing...he was ALIVE! It was mind-blowing to see that through the screen. It's hard to believe that he is not with us anymore!! (sad face)
On the bright side though, Michael was extremely pleasant and NICE! OMG..every time he would ask the director or dancers to do something, he said it in such nice way! And then, after he asked..he would say "Thank you..God bless you". He is VERY funny..and most of all..STYLISH!!! He is NOW my new fashion icon. I loved everything he had on..it was AH-MAZE-iiingg!!! I am happy I made the choice to go see it, with the tabloids going crazy over his death and the constant negative light that was shown on him, I think that this movie will portray him differently, and he will be remembered for his musical talent, not all that other CRAP!
I loved the film and encourage everyone to go see it!!

A reliable source says the "mixtape" project with Jay-Z and other high-profile artists was leaked and hit the web TOO EARLY! His fans are happy (of course)..but his label not so much. There may be major legal implications for downloading these tracks... not to mention the unreliable sites that have splashed the "FREE DOWNLOAD" phrase in every corner. UGH..people, wouldn't you HATE to have swine flu..on your COMPUTER..FOREVER!? So..as MUCH as I love the lyrical genius..I'm going to patiently wait for all this mess to get cleared up..before I download it. In the meantime..HOWEVER, I do know a few people who have taken the risk and it is currently on their computer..RIGHT NOW! I LOVE THIS MAN!

I think I have THEE best Dad in the world. I am SO lucky!! This past weekend he was acknowledged for his MANY, MANY achievements in life. He's the most successful man I know..& Im glad someone else recognized that! He received the Alumni Achievement Award at the University of Rolla Miner Alumni Association!! (the college he attended) Not only was my Dad the Sr. Human Resource Professional of 2006 but my Dad is also involved in a number of different organizations.. He is a member of the National Black MBA Association, the chair of the Missouri Buisness Leadership Network, he is an advocate for people with disabilities, Vice Chairman on the board of STL's Diversity Awareness Partnership, he is an active member on the Chamber of Commerce Hispanic Leadership Group, apart of the Diversity Officers Network, & a mentor and on the advisory council for Urban Future...(whew..that was a mouthful, did I get everything Aunt Cheryl?!)..AND he is an AWESOME husband and father..

Im so proud of my pops :)

JIMMY CHOO IS COMING TO YOU!!!! (Im pointing at YOU..lol) Ok, so like any other shoe fanatic, I obsess over the high-end shoe. UNFORTUNATELY, I have yet to make the ULTIMATE purchase. U know...that ONE pair of shoes!? The ONE pair of shoes that define you as a woman?! Well...THAT ONE! Mostly, because I can't afford it! (sad face) BUT.. I think God has answered my prayers..because Jimmy Choo has collaborated with H&M and together they have come up with an affordable shoe and accessories line!!!! I've been waiting for November 14th to roll around, for some time now...and I ONLY hope that when they say that the new line of Jimmy Choo shoes will be in "selected stores" that, that means in Saint Louis. IF NOT?! It looks like me and my friend Latrice will be making a trip to where EVER they are!! (smile)

A D D I C T E D ...

toooooo ABORTIONS!! YUP! Thats right! Allow me to introduce you to Irene Vilar. She recently came out about a horrible addiction when writing her book "Impossible Motherhood". She expands on her dark past and talks about why she has had 15 abortions in the past 16 years..(WOW..) And MOST of them were done when she was married!! It was a HORRIBLE relationship with her husband (EX now) that left her ashamed and depressed. She thinks that people will judge her because of her past and not fully understand why she has had so many abortions..(can you blame them tho?) Her addiction, although hard to comprehend, is just like any other one! Im happy she has come out with this problem, because I am sure other women have had their share of abortions..HOPEFULLY not as many as she had though!(cross your fingers).. She is a VERY VERY VERY VERY courageous woman!! And OH, miracuously her reproductive system was NOT damaged, and she is now re-married with two children :)
